Why are iCloud Photos Not Downloading to PC

iCloud Photos on your Windows PC uploads your photos once. If you make changes to photos after they are downloaded to your computer, the edited version will not be downloaded again.  Open the explorer window.
In the Favorites section, click iCloud Photos.
Click Upload Photo.
Select the year you want to download and click "Download."
If you are editing a photo on your computer that you have already uploaded to iCloud Photos, you can change the name of the photo file and upload it again to iCloud Photos.

I added photos to My Photo Stream, but they are not on my devices
If you add photos to iCloud on your PC but don’t see them on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, follow these steps:


  1. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, click Settings> Wi-Fi. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on and your iOS device is connected to the Internet. Get help if you cannot connect to Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings> [your name]> iCloud. If you are using iOS 10.2 or earlier, go to Settings> iCloud. Make sure you are logged in with the same Apple ID that you use with iCloud for Windows.
  3. Open iCloud for Windows, and next to Photos, click Options. Turn on My Photo Stream.
  4. Close and reopen iCloud for Windows.


Reboot the computer.
When you enable iCloud Photos on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac, photos added from your computer appear in the All Photos album.

If you still cannot see your photos on iOS devices, copy them to the Download folder.

Copy the photos to the photo upload folder.
You can also copy your photos from a folder on your computer to the “Upload Photos” folder in iCloud.


  • Open Windows Explorer (Windows 8 and later) or Windows Explorer (Windows 7).
  • Go to Favorites> iCloud Photos.
  • In another window, open the folder in which you currently store the photos you want to add to My Photo Stream.
  • Select the photos you want to add.
  • Drag them to the Uploads folder in iCloud Photos.


What happened to the My Photo Stream folder?

 After iCloud Photos is turned on on your computer, My Photo Stream is automatically turned off. If you want to send new photos to your devices that do not use iCloud Photos, you can enable My Photo Stream in iCloud Photo settings.

When you use iCloud and My Photo Stream photos, you can view your My Photo Stream photos when you go to the Images> iCloud Photos> Downloads menu.

 How to delete photos and videos in iCloud Photos?

 If you want to delete photos and videos, you can delete them in the Photos app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac, as well as on iCloud.com.
